Hiking Safely With Your Dog

One of our more common summertime response calls is for dogs taken along on a back-country hike, only to have them suffer an injury or be otherwise unprepared for the trail, far from the trailhead.

To help you be become better informed and have a safe and enjoyable outing, WASART partnered with

  • Washington Trails Association
  • King County Search Dogs
  • King County Search and Rescue Association

forthis presentation How to Hike Safely with Your Dog.

In addition, we’ve produced a short video on one of the more important skills you can take with you on your trip: paw-wrapping.

We hope you have a safe and fun trip into our great outdoors!
