Base Support qualified you to deploy with WASART, YAY!
Now it’s time to do more…
Operation Support training is the place to learn about animal behavior and basic animal handling skills in the field and during transport with the species we most commonly receive requests to assist, and is geared towards animal rescue and evacuation in emergency situations. You’ll also learn how to assist the Technical Rescue Team (TRT) setting up the tripod, rope handling and rescue litter carrying practice.
Get qualified to be more involved during a rescue or gain some new skills to help you in your everyday life!
Operations Support includes an online class and on-site classroom and in-the-field training.
Links to the online segment and in-person sessions will be provided before the class; there will not be an additional cost for the online instruction.

Base Support training is generally required (at least highly recommended) prior to taking Operations Support training. Base Support is typically offered the day before Operations Support. Click here for more.
We strongly encourage you to take the next available offering of Operations Support as soon as is possible so as to be able to even more when you deploy with WASART.
Operations Support is offered twice a year, generally north(ish) in the Spring (most recently at Remlinger Farms in Carnation), and south(ish) in the Fall (often Vetter Farm, in Buckley).
